Lisa Rice has been a music educator on eastern Long Island since 1986. She received her Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Concordia College-Bronxville, NY where she studied clarinet and piano. She received her Master of Arts from SUNY Stony Brook in 1992.

Lisa has been teaching at Jimmy Osborne Music since 2018. She is a retired music teacher from the Sag Harbor School District where she taught violin, band, chorus and theater arts at the elementary level for over 30 years. She has performed with several community groups including the North Shore Pops Concert Band, The Greenport Summer Band, The Sag Harbor Community Band and The Riverhead “No Doubt World Famous” Monday Night Band, where she is an assistant conductor and secretary. She has also performed in various pit bands on Long Island including Guild Hall in East Hampton and her own high school alma mater in Hampton Bays. Lisa is also the music director at Christ Lutheran Church in East Moriches.

Lisa has held memberships in NYSSMA, NAfME and NYSBDA. On the local level, she is a member of the Suffolk County Music Educators Association where she has chaired several music festivals and the Hamptons Music Educators Association where she has served as President, Vice-President, Treasurer and Middle School Band Chairperson.
