All these statements are true and are our sole belief at Jimmy Osborne Music. In 1997, we had a vision of continuing “A Tradition in Music” in the community of Center Moriches, which started some 75 years ago by Chester G. Osborne, Jimmy’s father. The entire Osborne family are music educators and performers who have devoted their lives to passing on this musical tradition. We believe we are lifetime learners!
At Jimmy Osborne Music, we pass on a lifetime of music to you and your family. We are located in the heart of Center Moriches, and we are celebrating over 20 years in business. At Jimmy Osborne Music, our students learn music at all levels. Whether you study piano, brass, woodwind, strings, percussion, guitar or voice; in pursuit of a career, or just for fun; you will receive excellent instruction from our highly professional teachers. For all ages, we have a tradition of music to share with you!
We are very proud of our students! Some of our students have gone on to become music teachers, professional musicians and recording artists. When you come to our yearly recitals you will be amazed by our student’s talents. Our students start very young and continue well into high school. They are well prepared for NYSSMA, SCMEA, HMEA, college entrance auditions, and college recitals.
We are also proud of our very talented teachers. Our teachers’ main goal is to pass on the love of music. Their appreciation for music comes from their various musical backgrounds such as jazz, rock, pop, concert band, symphony orchestras, performing bands, recording artists, composers, and conductors. True music educators inspire students to create the music they love. We are so fortunate to have true music educators.
At Jimmy Osborne Music we also take great pride in helping our community. For 14 years, we have been an integral part of the organization of the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. We were overjoyed to take time to raise money and organize the event, which hosted some of the best bands on Long Island. Jimmy Osborne Music hosts annual fundraisers such as the Relay Idol Competition and Relay’s Got Talent. Two students from these competitions went on to The Voice and American Idol! We are always willing to help out in many of the community-based fundraisers for different organizations, as well as giving away free lessons for Chinese Auctions & raffles.
